Fairy and Demons

Abstract from Fairy Point
Nanga Parbat is the western most anchor of the mighty Himalayan range standing at 8126m it is the 9th highest peak in the world. The local Chilasi people who live around this massive believe that Fairies or (Pari in local dialect) inhabit these land surrounding Killer Mountain (other name for Nanga Parbat), thus, the meadows situated on the northern face of this mountain is named after this myth, the Fairymedows. It's a beautiful lush green meadows surrounded by majestic pine forest. On our trip to fairy meadows, and while camping at night on Biyal base camp some 5 or 6 km from fairy meadows we were approached by an elderly man from the village who asked us not to camp under open sky and offered us to stay inside one of his huts which he owned and he would not charge us anything, and he start telling us story of Fairies and what they are capable of. He began by telling us story of his grandfather when he had to hike to Biyal camp at night because one of his animal went missing from the heard and on the way he encountered something frightening that evening. The old man continued; As my grandfather was walking through the woods he spotted a newly born baby laying on a piece of rock,  crying, in the moon lit night surprised by this sight he tried to approach the tiny baby, but he noticed each step he took towards this baby it got bigger. He saw that little thing turning into a demon, he gathered himself turned back and start running in fear. By then the monster already reaching a size of the surrounding trees kept growing bigger and bigger the boy was so terrified that he start throwing rock at the demon and closed his eyes and start reciting versus from the bible (Quran) and when he opened his eyes the strange being was gone and the light of dawn start to fill up the sky. We of course under the heavy influence of herbs, somehow suddenly found ourselves inside a Hut and totally rejected the idea of sleeping under the stars, however, it came to us that the word Pari or Fairy in local dialect is actually not the beautiful little girl with wings made from shimmering light.... but Demons made from fire and ashes!
